Gromit has been unleashed in Bristol for 10 weeks :D
Aardman, the makers of Wallace and Gromit, are based in Bristol, and are running a 10 week fundraising event for the Bristol Children’s Hospital :)
80 Gromits, standing at 5ft tall, have been decorated and put on display in and around Bristol, as well as 6 “passport stops” which have some Wallace and Gromit merchandise for sale. The shop which opened in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway also has an exhibition there.
We had a look in the shop today, and next time we’ll go into the exhibition ^^
All proceeds are going to the children’s hospital :)
We started our Gromit hunt today, and have ticked off 5 of them so far ^-^
(Not counting the 3 we saw on the back of a truck, being taken to their display spots last Friday :P)
“The Green Gromit” is inside the Wallace and Gromit shop in the mall at Cribbs Causeway.
“Antique Rose” is outside the mall at Cribbs.
“The Wild West” is outside Harveys Furniture Store at the retail park in Cribbs.
“Oops a Daisy” is outside the visitor centre at Tyntesfield near Nailsea.
“Bristol Bulldog” is in the departures area at Bristol Airport.
All of the Gromits are in areas that are free to access ;)
The Gromits will all be auctioned off at the end of the 10 weeks. The auction will take place at the mall.
