Setsubun 2014

Today is Setsubun, a Japanese tradition for starting the new season after winter, removing bad luck from the home, and bringing good luck in.

Y’ made yummy sushi rolls for us to eat, but we couldn’t get soy beans for throwing the bad luck out of the house, so we used peanuts instead :P

Outside was dark and raining, and some of our neighbours were outside, so we quietly threw out a small package of peanuts and whispered to remove any bad luck from the home…..and then collected the peanuts and threw them in the bin to not leave a mess ^_^;
