Osaka Castle

Osaka Castle is one of the most famous castles in Japan, although the main tower is now a replica made of concrete.

The inside of the castle doesn’t match the outside…whilst the outside replicates the original 5 story tower, the inside is an 8 story modern museum >.>

When you go inside you’ll be directed to take a lift up to the top floors, and then work your way back down through the museum using the stairs.

From the top floor viewing platform there are some great views out across the park and over Osaka :)

The museum inside the castle tells the history of the castle, the expansion of its grounds, its change in form, and its involvement in conflicts…..it’s interesting stuff ^^
