At the weekend we went to Lacock Abbey, a National Trust place that we’ve visited before, but at a different time of year:
It was winter last time we went, so the gardens were pretty empty at that time….this time there were a lot of flowers to see in the green houses and in the flower beds outside :)
It was also nicer weather for walking around the grounds this time, so we explored more of the paths which lead through the wooded areas, instead of just heading straight for the house.
There are some nice little trails to follow ^^
It’s interesting to visit somewhere like this during different seasons, and it can have a very different feel.
Last time we visited was during the Christmas period, so of course that atmosphere was veeery different then ^_^;
Without all of the Christmas decorations the rooms feel colder, but it’s easier now to appreciate the scale of the rooms themselves and their own architectural features :)
It’s also worth taking a walk around the village if you go to Lacock, and as you can see in my blog post from last time there are some interesting buildings there ;)
