Miffy Art Parade – Amsterdam

We’ve just come back from a 4 day trip to Holland where we went sightseeing. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the children’s book character Miffy (Nijntje in Dutch) there is a Miffy Art Parade with lots of statues decorated by different artists…..just like the current Shaun in the City trails in Bristol :)

There are statues in Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, Den Haag, and Utrecht the home town of Miffy’s creator Dick Bruna.

A good place to see a lot of them in Amsterdam is in Museumplein Square, where there are 11 of them in a row ^^

We found a couple more in 2 hotels within the city; Amstel Hotel and Hotel Okura

The one in Amstel Hotel is easy to spot when you enter the lobby, but in Hotel Okura it’s hidden around to the left a bit past the front desk.

There were supposed to be 2 statues at Schiphol Airport, but at the time we were there they only had 1 which was in the Miffy souvenir shop.
