The Hill House

The Hill House is a house designed by the famous Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (one of my favourite architects) and widely considered to be his best domestic work :)

The house is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and it is a really really nice house to look around inside….every room is amazing ^^

The house is much as it was when its owner moved in in 1904, even the Mackintosh designed furniture.

The inside is classic Mackintosh style and it’s easy to see here how he was influenced by Japanese design :)

Unfortunately visitors are not allowed to take photos inside the house, but we bought a guidebook which has some great images inside so we can look over it again whenever we want to :P

The house sits on a hill in Helensburgh, not far from Glasgow, we visited here on our way up to Loch Lomand :)
